The Second Week: Importance of Communication
"The Art of Speaking"

The Garden of Communication
There are many different types of communication. Each of them falls under communication but differs in how they spread information. A particular type of communication I learned in school is the Grapevine Communication. Basically it is an unorganized and unofficial channel of communication in an organization. The Grapevine has four sub types
The Wheel
In this type of grapevine, one person is predominant. He transmits information to different persons or groups.
The Cluster
It has a several groups of people linked together by a cluster or chain of communication.
The Chain
The most common pattern in which information passes through a series of people linked together in the organization
Free Flow
Most rumors or idle gossip spread through a haphazard network, which includes a number of people who are not necessarily linked by any organization thread.
Similarities and Differences
Now here, we determined what are the differences and similarities of Media Literacy and Information Literacy. We were given the time to research about these two and made an output in a form of a Venn Diagram. Here you can clearly see what differences and similarities they have. The Play on Words
We used our output from the last activity to compile the information and made a presentation out of it. We chose the spoken poetry presentation. Here we explained the overall similarities and differences of the two. A simple, but effective way of summarizing everything.
The End
Another week, another blog. I hope you enjoyed this one. See you next week!
